Call for Proposals

General Papers
Proposal deadline September 17, 2006

We welcome scholarly papers, case histories, or personal testimony on the ethical aspects of intelligence.

For consideration of your proposal, please submit the title of your presentation, a 350 - 500 word summary, a short biography, and contact information by September 17, 2006.

Submit proposals electronically in rich text format (rtf) or Word format to conference2007@intelligence-ethics.org. E-mail confirmation of receipt of proposal will be sent within three days.

The Organizing Committee will notify, by telephone or e-mail, all those who submitted proposals of the Committee's decisions by October 10, 2006.

Pre-registration by October 29, 2006, is required for all participants to be listed in the conference program in time for general on-line registration beginning November 1.

By arrangement with individual authors, submitted papers may be posted at the IIEA web site http://intelligence-ethics.org prior to and after the conference.

   
Friday Dinner Table Discussions on Intelligence Ethics in Current Events
Proposal deadline October 10, 2006

We welcome proposals to lead dinner table discussions on Friday, January 26, 2007 about intelligence ethics issues in relation to current events.

Discussions should begin with a short summary and identification of the relevant ethical issues.

For consideration of your proposal, please submit by October 10, 2006, a title for your discussion, a 1 -2 sentence description of the topic, a short biography, a URL to a news article or other reference to the event, and contact information.

Submit proposals electronically in rich text format (rtf) or Word format to conference2007@intelligence-ethics.org. E-mail confirmation of receipt of your proposal will be sent within three days.

The Organizing Committee will notify, by telephone or e-mail, all those who submitted proposals of the Committee's decisions by October 20, 2006.

By arrangement with individual dinner discussion leaders, synopses or highlights of discussions may be posted at the IIEA web site http://intelligence-ethics.org after the conference.

   
Saturday Luncheon Discussions with an Author
Proposal deadline October 10, 2006
We welcome your proposal to present a short summary of a books or article pertinent to intelligence ethics that you have written and to lead a discussion of the text over lunch at your table on Saturday, January 27, 2007.

For consideration of your proposal, submit the book or article citation, an abstract of the book or article, a short biography, and contact information.

If you propose to discuss an article you have written, please submit a copy of the article in either pdf or Word format. This article will be distributed electronically to conference participants who have signed up for your discussion. If you propose to discuss a book you have written that is still in print, the conference book seller will order it for display and sale at the conference on Saturday, January 26.
